According to the report, the number of outbound tourists has shown a steady growth trend in the past decade. From 2010 to 2017, the "compound annual growth rate" of outbound tourists reached 12.27%, mainly due to the growth of overseas tourists. The form of outbound tourists has gradually been accepted by more and more Chinese people.

The report shows that as of 2018, the number of valid personal passports in China has reached 130 million. In other words, 90% of Chinese has not yet entered the outbound travel market, and the overall outbound travel penetration rate still has a huge space.

In 2018, "consumption downgrade" became a hot topic in the whole network. On the other hand, the consumption data of outbound travel is still on the rise. Minority destinations began to attract the attention and love of travelers, showing an obvious upward trend, among which Croatia, Mexico and Portugal entered the Top30, a popular destination for poor travel for the first time.

Young travelers become the main force of outbound travel

Among the nearly 100 million outbound users of the poor travel network, young quality users account for more than 50%, and young travelers have gradually become the main force of outbound travel.

Compared with travelers who like to make a complete travel guide, young people are more likely to leave. Memories of Alhambra, Chinese Restaurant, World Cup … Whether it is TV series, variety shows or international competitions, it may become the travel inspiration to inspire young people to travel, which also brings fire to Korma, Russia and other destinations. The data shows that 35.71% of the post-00 generation and 21.26% of the post-90 generation will choose their destinations because of their favorite variety shows, 75% of the post-00 generation and 50.28% of the post-90 generation will start a trip because of TV dramas or movies, and 21.43% of the post-00 generation will start a trip because of idols.

Travelers in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei are different from those in other regions in that they spend the most, play the craziest, love freedom and drive. The overall travel time is the longest, reaching 10.40 days, and the proportion of outbound travel more than 5 times a year reaches 12.55%. In terms of average spending, travelers in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei are also higher than those in other regions.
