In the kiwifruit industrial park here, the reporter met the person in charge of a local professional cooperative. During more than 20 years of kiwifruit production and processing, Qi Feng witnessed the process of gradually improving the quality of domestic kiwifruit and increasing the degree of commercialization.

       The core of kiwi fruit with red heart is radial, its taste is soft and waxy, and it melts at the entrance. Kiwi fruit juice, a golden fruit, is rich in water and tastes sweet and sour, while ordinary kiwifruit with green heart is constantly improving. Among them, "Xuxiang" and "Cuixiang" are well recognized by the market, and the market price can also be sold to about 8 yuan per catty. Even so, the price gap between domestic kiwifruit and imported kiwifruit is still very wide. The reporter visited and learned that the price of imported fruit is often about 100g, which is above 10 yuan. For most fruit distributors, the market recognition of domestic kiwifruit has been increasing in recent years, which is actually better than imported kiwifruit.

Domestic kiwifruit is "cooked" just right by technology

China’s kiwifruit cultivation has a history of more than 1,300 years, but the industrialization and commercialization development is only 40 years. In recent years, with the continuous breakthrough of planting and preservation technology of kiwifruit industry in China, the economic value of domestic kiwifruit is constantly improving.

It can be seen that a ridge cultivation method is adopted at the scene, which reserves a wide row spacing and is conducive to drainage. Moreover, we found that each trunk is divided into two vines, and such a horizontal trellis is made on the vines. The advantage of the horizontal trellis is that it can ensure that every kiwi fruit can receive the same degree of water and light, so that the size and quality of the fruit are uniform.

The reporter learned that kiwifruit is a typical post-ripening fruit. When it is harvested, the fruit is hard and can only be eaten after being stored for a long time. When it softens and reaches the edible standard, the shelf life is short, and the loss during transportation will also increase greatly. The new breakthrough of ripening technology in the past two years has enabled the harvested kiwifruit to be stored in different grades, and the ready-to-eat state can be achieved by adjusting the temperature.

Compared with ordinary kiwifruit, the production cost of instant kiwifruit is increased by about 20%, but the sales price can be increased by 30%. With the continuous popularization and commercial application of various technologies, the economic value of kiwifruit industry in China still has more room for improvement.
