Persevere in using the weapons of criticism and self-criticism
The Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China pointed out that criticism and self-criticism are sharp weapons for our party to strengthen the body and cure diseases and maintain physical health, and they are also important means to strengthen and standardize the political life within the party. We must persistently use them well. This is a scientific conclusion drawn by scientifically summing up the positive and negative experiences in the practice of political life within our party, and it also shows a distinctive feature of Marxist political parties. Under the new situation, to implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, we must accurately grasp the spiritual essence of criticism and self-criticism, and carry out criticism and self-criticism frequently, extensively and conscientiously.
First, we should improve party member’s individual quality and enhance party member’s sense of responsibility and mission. Criticism and self-criticism are actually mutual supervision and self-supervision, and their purpose is to remind or correct those problematic behaviors. This is an important condition to ensure the healthy development of party organizations. It is worth noting that in the practice of inner-party criticism and self-criticism, there are also some party member who ignore the important issues, downplay them, whitewash them, and hide them, thus failing to achieve the goal of blushing and sweating. The poor development of criticism and self-criticism is fundamentally due to the weak principle of party spirit, selfish distractions, and a lack of sense of responsibility and mission. No matter what changes have taken place in the historical position of the Party and the environment we are facing, as a Communist party member, we should consciously pick up the sharp weapon of criticism and self-criticism, enhance the political consciousness of self-correction, keep the scientific attitude of upholding truth and correcting mistakes, and keep the determination and courage of self-purification, self-improvement, self-innovation and self-improvement. We should distinguish right from wrong in principle, gather consensus from the depths of our thoughts, and really do a good job of criticism and self-criticism.
Second, create a harmonious organizational atmosphere and narrow the distance between organizational members. Criticism and self-criticism are carried out among party organizations, and the atmosphere of party organizations has a direct impact on this. Organizational climate reflects the basic state of the organization. A healthy organization should reflect a harmonious atmosphere. In such an organization, individual members feel free and restrained, arguing and fighting, caring and helping, and everyone is in a good mood and high morale. To build a healthy organization, barrier-free communication among members is very important. To create a harmonious atmosphere of the organization, it is necessary to strengthen the team spirit of mutual cooperation and create relaxed and happy communication conditions. It is everyone’s responsibility to create a harmonious organizational atmosphere, but the main person in charge of the organization plays a key role and should shoulder the main responsibility. First of all, the main person in charge of the organization should be good at communication and actively communicate with the members of the organization. We should take communication as the normal state of work and solve problems through communication. Secondly, we should encourage the mutual communication among members of the organization and create conditions for everyone’s communication. With a good communication atmosphere, party member can communicate his thoughts sincerely and sincerely, so as to achieve a position of talking about everything and talking from heart to heart, thus better promoting the development of criticism and self-criticism.
Third, strengthen daily supervision, improve system norms, and realize the long-term effectiveness of criticism and self-criticism. Strengthening the supervision of daily work is an important experience for our party to do all the work well. Strengthening the supervision of criticism and self-criticism carried out by various organizations can form an external pressure, thus providing a motive force for strengthening criticism and self-criticism and effectively promoting the improvement of the quality of criticism and self-criticism. In order to achieve this goal, the daily supervision work should grasp two main points: First, the quality of questions raised in criticism and self-criticism. That is, whether the questions raised are objective and accurate. The quality of questions raised in carrying out criticism and self-criticism determines the quality of criticism and self-criticism This first requires a correct attitude to face the problem. Only with such a correct attitude and understanding can we truly face and solve problems. The second is to follow up and supervise the solution of the problems raised and promote the thorough solution of the problems. Asking questions is not an end, but it is meaningful to solve problems as soon as possible. Some people put forward their own problems, but there is no way to solve them, which leads to the delay in solving them; Or the same question is raised many times and repeatedly, but it is always not solved. This situation will also make criticism and self-criticism meaningless. This problem needs to be paid attention to, and it is necessary to strengthen follow-up supervision and come up with operable and supervised rectification measures, countermeasures and suggestions.Persevere in promoting the solution of problems and truly achieve practical results. At the same time, it is necessary to improve the institutional norms, establish and improve the institutional system to promote the normalization of criticism and self-criticism, and strengthen the top-level design in the aspects of leadership mechanism, guarantee mechanism, supervision mechanism, reward and punishment mechanism and evaluation mechanism to realize the long-term effectiveness of criticism and self-criticism.
In addition, to carry out criticism and self-criticism, we should also give play to the exemplary role of leading cadres. The power of example is infinite. Leading cadres, especially senior cadres, must take the lead in heeding advice, dare to speak out, and guide party member and cadres to dispel their self-criticism for fear of losing face, criticizing superiors for being afraid of bad luck, criticizing peers for being afraid of hurting people’s feelings, and criticizing subordinates for being afraid of losing votes with demonstration actions of criticism and self-criticism. Leading cadres at all levels in party member should also reflect on their own work and leadership responsibilities from the problems, and take the ability to find and solve their own problems as an important basis for evaluating the leading bodies. "Those who want to flow far away must dig their fountains". We should firmly grasp the "key minority" of leading cadres, so as to better carry out criticism and self-criticism.
In short, correctly carrying out criticism and self-criticism is not only an important symbol of the normalization of political life within the party, but also an important guarantee for realizing and maintaining the normalization of political life within the party. As long as the weapon of criticism and self-criticism is used well, the political life within the party will be more and more normalized, and the political ecology within the party will be formed and maintained.
